Our Heart at Encounter Church

At Encounter Church, we are committed to fulfilling what we believe God has called us to—to LOVE, EQUIP, and RELEASE.

We desire to see people grow in deeper intimacy with God, discovering more of their identity in Christ. Our focus is on ministering to the heart of God, making everything about Him, not us. Revelation 4 reminds us that worship is about honoring God because He is worthy—above everything else, regardless of our circumstances.

We don’t just equip people to serve Encounter Church, but to serve the Kingdom of God—releasing them into their God-given purpose.

We believe in the power of prayer and worship and embrace God’s invitation to step into His presence. Our heart is to see an open heaven over Ilfracombe, where the Spirit moves in extraordinary ways, introducing people to Jesus. We expect to see signs and wonders, lives transformed, and people set free from the lies of the enemy & embracing the truth of Christ instead.

Vision

Our vision is to show the LOVE of the Lord in every area of Encounter Church, loving one another and our community. As family, we believe our calling is to share the Gospel openly being transparent to all.

As a ministry our mandate is to EQUIP God’s people to understand who they are and the calling they have been given by God. We will create a safe place for healing to be received and for an intimate relationship to grow between each one of us and Jesus Christ.

As a Church we believe it is important for people to be RELEASED into the calling and plans God has for us, to advance the Kingdom of God not just in the town of Ilfracombe but for this Region and Nation.

Allowing the Holy Spirit to move in every area of our lives guiding us and positioning us all where God calls us to stand.

Our mission is to live an authentic Spirit filled life, as family through:

  • Seeing JESUS IN EVERYTHING.

  • LOVING AND ENCOURAGING one another, from the youngest to the oldest, by lifting others up before ourselves. Knowing Jesus and MAKING JESUS KNOWN, reaching up before reaching out.

  • Providing a SAFE PLACE for people to develop and flourish in who they are in Jesus.

  • Providing sound Holy Spirit led BIBLICAL TEACHING – creating challenging messages for people to respond and grow through.

  • Encouraging people to walk in and understand the GOD GIVEN AUTHORITY we all carry.

  • Giving people OPPORTUNITY to be EQUIPPED to step out BOLDLY into the community and be the DIFFERENCE in every area of their influence.
